Your game account, scores and duels are stored in Google Firebase. No ads, no tracking, and your data is never sold.
Last updated: 5 October 2026
QuizArena uses an account and a server for live duels, leaderboards and seasons. You can also play alone with the on-device question bank without signing in; then nothing is sent to the server.
Sign in with Apple, Google or anonymously (Firebase Authentication). The sign-in provider gives us a user ID and, if you allow it, your name and email address. The email stays in the authentication record only; it is never shown to other players and never used to email you. Your profile holds your username, Google profile photo URL (if you used Google), level, XP, league, season points, streak, achievements and friends. Other players see only your username, avatar, level and scores.
Round summaries (category, score, correct/wrong counts) are stored to compute your points. During duels and private rooms your answers and timing are synced live (Firebase Realtime Database) and cleared when the match ends.
If you allow notifications, your device's push token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) is saved to your profile to deliver duel invitations and match results.
When you turn on AI rounds, our server sends the chosen category, difficulty and language to OpenCode's AI service (opencode.ai) to generate questions. Your name, email and user ID are not included; only a session code derived one-way from your ID is sent. The number of AI rounds you played today is kept on your profile to count your daily allowance.
Firebase Analytics is used to understand which screens and modes are used. This data is not used for advertising, not combined with other companies' data and not used to track you across apps. The app does not ask for tracking permission.
QuizArena Pro is a one-time purchase processed entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details. To attach Pro to your account, Apple's signed transaction is verified on our server and its transaction ID is written to your profile.
Google Firebase (database in Europe, eur3), Apple (sign-in, purchases) and OpenCode (AI question generation, limited to the data described above).
Settings › Delete Account removes your sign-in record, profile, public profile, achievements, round history and matchmaking entry. This cannot be undone. Deleting the app only removes on-device data; use the step above or write to us to delete the account.
