Dice Roller rolls dice for board games, backgammon and tabletop role-playing games. Tap, tap the table or shake your device; the dice tumble, land with a small knock you can feel, and the total appears in large type. It works with no connection and no account.

How to roll

Tap Roll, tap the table itself, or shake your iPhone or iPad.
Use − and + under the total to change the number of dice.
Switch tables at the top: Dice, Backgammon and RPG.

Questions

Are the dice fair?

Yes. Every roll comes from the system's secure random number generator (the same one iOS uses for cryptography), and each face has exactly the same chance. The result is decided before the animation starts; the tumbling faces are only decoration. The app's tests roll hundreds of thousands of dice and check the distribution statistically.

How does the backgammon table work?

Tap Roll for your turn: the two numbers are listed as your moves, higher first. Doubles are played four times, so 4-4 gives four moves of four. Who starts? rolls one die for each player: the higher die starts and equal dice are rolled again. Under the international rule the starter plays those two numbers as the first move; many tables (common in Turkish tavla) let the starter roll both dice again instead. The app shows the opening dice and leaves that choice to you.

How do I write a dice formula?

On the RPG table, tap the dice buttons (d4 to d100) or type a formula:

2d6+3 — two six-sided dice plus 3
d20-1 — one twenty-sided die minus 1
4d6kh3 — roll four d6, keep the highest three
2d20kh1 / 2d20kl1 — advantage / disadvantage
d% — the same as d100

Up to 100 dice per formula, and at least one die: a number alone is not a roll. Spaces are allowed around + and − only, so a typo such as “2d6 3” is flagged instead of read as 2d63. Dropped dice are shown struck through. Long-press a die button to remove one.

Shaking does nothing

Check Settings → Shake to Roll. Shaking does not roll while a sheet (settings, history, colors or the purchase screen) is open, or while you are typing a formula on the RPG table.

What is free, and what is Dice Pro?

Free: one or two six-sided dice, rolling by tap or shake, the animation, haptics and VoiceOver. Dice Pro (one payment, no subscription) adds up to 10 dice, the backgammon table, RPG dice with formulas and modifiers, a history of your last 200 rolls from all tables and five more dice colors. Everything that needs Dice Pro shows a PRO badge.

I paid but it is still locked

Open Settings (the gear at the top right) and tap Restore Purchase, signed in with the Apple Account you bought with.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com.

What data is collected?

None. No account, no ads, no analytics. Your settings and roll history are stored only on your device and are removed with the app. See the Privacy Policy.

Zijn de worpen eerlijk?

Ja. Elke worp komt uit de veilige toevalsgenerator van het systeem en elke kant heeft precies dezelfde kans. De uitkomst staat vast voordat de animatie begint; het rollen is alleen voor het oog.

Backgammon

Tik op Gooi voor je beurt: je zetten staan eronder, de hoogste eerst. Bij dubbel speel je het getal vier keer. Wie begint? gooit één dobbelsteen per speler: de hoogste begint; bij gelijk wordt opnieuw gegooid. Volgens de internationale regel speelt de beginner die twee getallen als eerste zet; aan veel tafels gooit de beginner beide dobbelstenen opnieuw. Die keuze laat de app aan jou.

Formules

Op de RPG-tafel: 2d6+3 (twee d6 plus 3), 4d6kh3 (vier d6, hoogste drie houden), 2d20kh1 / 2d20kl1 (voordeel / nadeel), d% = d100.

Gratis en Dobbelsteen Pro

Gratis: één of twee zeszijdige dobbelstenen, gooien door te tikken of te schudden, animatie, trillingen en VoiceOver. Dobbelsteen Pro (eenmalige betaling, geen abonnement) voegt tot 10 dobbelstenen, de backgammontafel, RPG-dobbelstenen met formules, de geschiedenis van je laatste 200 worpen (van alle tafels samen) en vijf extra kleuren toe.

Betaald maar nog op slot?

Open Instellingen en tik op Herstel aankoop, ingelogd met het Apple-account waarmee je hebt betaald.

Zarlar adil mi?

Evet. Her atış sistemin güvenli rastgele sayı üretecinden gelir ve her yüzün şansı tam olarak aynıdır. Sonuç animasyon başlamadan belirlenir; yuvarlanan zarlar yalnızca görseldir.

Tavla masası nasıl çalışır?

Sıran gelince Zar At’a dokun: hamlelerin büyükten küçüğe yazılır. Çift gelirse sayı dört kez oynanır; 4-4 dört hamle eder. Türkçe kullanımda atışın adı da gösterilir: düşeş, şeş beş, hep yek, dubara… Kim başlar? her oyuncu için bir zar atar: büyük atan başlar, eşitlikte yeniden atılır. Birçok masada başlayan oyuncu iki zarı yeniden atar; uluslararası kurala göre ise çıkan iki sayıyı ilk hamle olarak oynar. Uygulama açılış zarlarını gösterir, hangi kuralla oynayacağınız size kalmış.
