What the app does

Redleaf is the red-sheet study method on your phone. Many study books print the answers in red or orange so that a red plastic sheet hides them. Photograph a page, and Redleaf hides those answers under a digital red sheet that you slide down line by line, or tap to reveal one answer at a time.

Getting started

1. Make a notebook for a subject (+ on the notebook list), or tap Add sample page to try the app with a page written for it.
2. Add a page. In the notebook tap +: Scan with camera finds the page edges and straightens the photo; Choose photos takes pictures you already have.
3. Check the hidden answers. Red and orange print is found by its colour and shown with red boxes. Move the Sensitivity slider if pale ink is missed or stray colour is picked up, then tap Save.
4. Study. The page opens under the red sheet. Drag the handle at the sheet's edge down to uncover the page line by line, tap a hidden answer to see just that one, or tap Show all. Pinch to zoom.

Questions

Some answers were not found, or the wrong words are hidden

Open the page and tap the highlighter (top right). In Auto, raise the sensitivity for pale or thin ink, lower it if coloured pictures are picked up, or choose Orange marker for words you highlighted yourself. With Marker you hide any other word by drawing over it with one finger (two fingers move and zoom); Eraser removes a hidden answer, and the arrow undoes the last step.

The photo is dark or yellow

Redleaf corrects the colour of the light before it looks for red, so a desk lamp or a window is usually fine. Very dark photos lose their colour: take the picture in a brighter place, and hold the phone flat above the page.

Does Redleaf read the text?

No. It finds coloured print by colour alone. There is no text recognition and nothing is sent anywhere.

How does the review work?

With Pro, every hidden answer becomes a card. Review in a notebook shows the answers that are due today, one at a time, zoomed in on their line. Tap Show answer, then Got it or Not yet. An answer you know comes back after 1, 2, 4, 7 and then 15 days; one you did not know comes back tomorrow. The number on each notebook is how many answers are due today.

My book prints the answers in green

With Pro, choose the green sheet (or any colour) in Settings, and pick Green or Blue in the page editor so those inks are found.

Can I import a PDF?

With Pro: in a notebook tap + › Import PDF. Every page of the PDF becomes a study page.

What is free, and what is Pro?

Free: 2 notebooks with up to 20 pages each, automatic red and orange detection, the marker and eraser, and the red sheet. Pro is a one-time in-app purchase that adds unlimited notebooks and pages, spaced review, the green sheet and your own sheet colour with green and blue ink detection, drawing with Apple Pencil on iPad, and PDF import. There are no ads and no subscription.

I paid but it is still locked

Open Settings (the gear) and tap Restore Purchase, signed in with the Apple Account you bought with.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com.

What data is collected?

None. There is no account and no ads, and the app does not use the network apart from the App Store for the purchase. Your page photos stay inside the app on your device; deleting the app deletes them. See the Privacy Policy.

• 使い方：ノート一覧の「＋」で科目ごとのノートを作り、ノートの「＋」から「カメラでスキャン」または「写真を選ぶ」でページを追加します。まず試すなら「サンプルページを追加」。
• 赤やオレンジで印刷された答えを色で自動検出し、赤い枠で表示します。見つからない字があるときは「感度」を上げ、余計な色を拾うときは下げてから「保存」。
• 暗記画面ではページが赤シートの下に隠れます。シートの端のつまみを下にずらすと1行ずつ見え、答えをタップすると1つだけ確認、「すべて表示」で全部表示。ピンチで拡大できます。
• ほかの語を隠したいときはマーカーのボタン（右上）から「マーカー」で指でなぞります。「消しゴム」で隠す場所を消し、矢印で取り消し。
• 文字認識は使っていません。答えは色だけで見つけ、写真はこの端末のアプリ内にだけ保存されます。
• Pro（1回の購入、サブスクなし）：ノートとページ無制限（無料版はノート2冊・各20ページ）、「覚えた」「まだ」で1・2・4・7・15日後に再出題する復習、緑シートと好きな色のシート（緑・青の文字も検出）、iPadのApple Pencil、PDFの読み込み。
• 購入したのにロックされたまま？ 設定（歯車）›「購入を復元」。アカウント・広告なし、データの収集なし。

Redleaf：红膜遮挡背诵

• 在笔记本列表点 + 为每门科目建笔记本，再在笔记本里点 +，选择“用相机扫描”或“选择照片”添加页面。想先试试，点“添加示例页面”。
• 红色、橙色印刷的答案会按颜色自动找出，用红框标出。有漏掉的字就调高“灵敏度”，误选了其他颜色就调低，然后点“保存”。
